Ahmadinejad calls Ban Ki-moon to prevent U .S and EU meddling
Iranian president Mahmud Ahmadinejad has called on UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to ask him to prevent the U.S. and EU interference in the North Africa and Middle East uprising demonstrations, reported IRNA.
In a phone conversation with the UN chief, the Iranian President stressed the need for Ban's more active role in managing the regional developments in line with the interests of its peoples.
Ahmadinejad urged UN Secretary General to take a certain and determined step to avoid the repetition of the Iraq and Afghanistan experience.
Ahmadinejad said the U.S. and EU meddling in Middle East and North Africa issues would complicate the situation there.
