Turkey's Dogan news agency says two consecutive explosions in Istanbul have killed at least eight people.
An Associated Press reporter at the scene says at least 12 people could be seen lying on the ground in the working class residential Gungoren district of Istanbul, the AP reported.
Dogan reported that at least 20 people have been taken to a nearby hospital.
A firefighter at the scene says the cause of the two explosions Sunday night was not known.
Several wounded were lying on the ground waiting to be treated. Broken glass and debris was strewn all over the area.
