Turkey, Ankara, 26 September/corr. Trend T.Aliyev / Airplanes of Turkish air forces attacked bases of Kurd fighters in northern regions of Iraq, NTV Turkish channel reports citing representatives of Kurd administration in Northern Iraq.
Operation started last evening at 22:45 local time.
Sixteen Turkish fighters bombed Kandil mountain, Abdulvahid Gani, head of administration of Choran nearby Kandil mountain, said.
Civil facilities were not attacked.
Turkish armed forces have not provided any information concerning operation yet.
