Turkish police teams confiscated 20 kg of heroin in central Turkey on Sunday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Acting on a tip-off, the police launched an operation against two drug traffickers and arrested them as they were stashing heroin in secret parts of a truck in the province of Eskisehir, according to the report.
Drug traffickers were planning to send the heroin to European countries, police were quoted as saying.
Turkey is a key transit route for smuggling drugs from Asia and the Middle East to markets in Western Europe, reported Xinhua .
