Turkey condemned on Thursday the armed attack that killed Pakistani minister of minorities, Anadolu News Agency reported.
Turkey's Foreign Ministry released a statement in which it expressed deep sorrow over minister Shahbaz Bhatti's assassination in Islamabad on Wednesday.
"Turkey condemns this heinous attack that targets at Pakistan's peace, stability and welfare," the statement said.
In its statement, the ministry said Turkey would continue to support Pakistan's fight against terrorism, and would be in solidarity with the Pakistani government and people.
42-year-old Bhatti, the only Christian member of Pakistan's federal cabinet, was killed as assailants sprayed his car with bullets on Wednesday.
