The number of Turkish citizens evacuated from Nepal has reached 242 people, Anadolu agency reported Apr.27.
Moreover, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey sent 26 rescuers to Nepal.
The country itself is in a state of emergency after a 7.9-magnitude quake jolted central, western, mid-western and far-western parts of Nepal at midday on Apr.25.
The death toll as a result of the destructive earthquake in Nepal reached 3,218 people.
Along with the local authorities, rescue groups from China, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan and Sri Lanka are in Nepal to provide additional help.
