There is no risk of a bird flu epidemic in Istanbul, the Turkish health ministry told Trend July 2.
"At present, outbreaks are being localized," the ministry said.
The bird flu has not spread to people in Istanbul, the statement said.
This virus has been revealed among some migratory birds.
It has been revealed among wild birds during preventive measures in two districts of Istanbul today.
It is also reported that hunting of wild birds was banned as a preventive measure until late September.
The Turkish province of Balikesir was quarantined due to the bird flu in May.
There is no risk of spreading bird flu in the country and it was revealed only at one of the poultry farms in the Bandirma region, Balikesir province, the Turkish health ministry told Trend.
