The police were attacked in the eastern province of Tunceli, Turkey, the Turkish TV channel TRT Haber said Sept.8.
As a result of the incident, four police officers were killed, according to the channel.
A bus carrying police officers has been blown up in Turkey's Igdir province Sept.8.
Reportedly, twelve representatives of the security forces were killed as a result of the explosion.
The number of injured is currently being defined.
Following the explosion, Turkish armed forces kicked off a large-scale operation against Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Igdir province.
