Figures of export from Ankara for January-August 2019 revealed

In January-August 2019, goods worth $5.223 billion were exported from Ankara, which is 6.46 percent more compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM).

During the reporting period, steel exports from Ankara amounted to $423.728 million, which is 10.49 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.

“In January-August 2019, cement worth $141.602 million was exported from Ankara, which is 38.85 percent more compared to the same period in 2018, and leather products worth $13.330 million were exported, which is 1.24 percent less compared to the same period in 2018,” the report said.

For the eight months of 2019, electric goods worth $212.992 million were exported from Ankara, which is 11.66 percent more compared to the same period in 2018, according to the report.

“Jewelry exports from Ankara grew by 39.55 percent amounting to $13.882 million,” the report said.

In August 2019, goods worth $566.802 million were exported from Ankara.

During the reporting period, steel worth $498.220 million was exported from Ankara, which is 15.30 percent more compared to August of 2018.

“In August 2019, the value of cement export from Ankara amounted to $14.055 million, which is 20.45 percent more compared to the same period in 2018, while the value of exported leather products amounted to $810,000, which is 30.61 percent less compared to the same period in 2018,” said the report.

In August 2019, electric goods worth $34.47 million were exported from Ankara, which is 0.01 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.

“Jewelry exports from Ankara grew by 65.40 percent compared with August 2018, amounting to $2.15 million,” the report said.
