TOP 10 products Turkey exported to Turkmenistan since early 2019

From January to September 2019, the biggest share of Turkey’s exports to Turkmenistan accounted for chemical products and steel, a source in the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

During the reporting period, export of chemical products from Turkey to Turkmenistan grew by 37.96 percent compared to the same period last year, amounting to $102.491 million.

Steel ranked second in this list, according to the report.

“During the reporting period, the export of steel from Turkey to Turkmenistan increased by 80.76 percent compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $64.595 million,” the report said.

Electrical goods rank third in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Turkmenistan.

“From January to September 2019, the export of electrical goods from Turkey to Turkmenistan increased by 33.36 percent compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $54.999 million,” the report noted.

Wood

Metals rank fourth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Turkmenistan, the export of which increased by 83.03 percent, amounting to $50.522 million.

“The next position in this list is taken by wood, paper and furniture, the export of which from January to September 2019 increased by 3.73 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $27.626 million,” the report said.

Fabrics and raw materials for textile industry rank sixth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Turkmenistan for the nine months of 2019, the export of which increased by 7.71 percent, amounting to $11.960 million.

“The seventh place in this list is taken by cement, the export of which increased by 22.38 percent, amounting to $8.288 million,” said the report. “The eighth place is taken by ready textile products, the export of which decreased by 14.5 percent, amounting to $6.9 million.”

Yachts ranks ninth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Turkmenistan in the nine months of 2019. Their export increased by 1.33 percent, amounting to $3.4 million.

“The tenth place is taken by leather goods, the export of which increased by 29.9 percent, amounting to $2.9 million,” reads the report.

From January to September 2019, Turkish exports to Turkmenistan increased by 45.5 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $497.1 million.

Turkey’s foreign trade in September 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $32.1 billion.

From January to September 2019, Turkey’s total trade amounted to $286.4 billion.
