Export of cars from Turkey to foreign markets decreased by 29.5 percent from January through June 2020 compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to $10.8 billion, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend on July 6.
According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of cars for the reporting period made up 14.4 percent of the country's total export for the same period of this year.
“Turkey exported cars worth $2.01 billion to world markets in June 2020, which is 7.9 percent more compared to the same month of 2019,” the ministry said.
Turkey's export of cars in June 2020 amounted to 15 percent of the country's total export.
Over the past 12 months (from June 2019 through June 2020), Turkey exported cars worth $26.06 billion.
