The export of cars from Turkey to Azerbaijan decreased by 20.1 percent from January through November 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $101.1 million, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.
In November 2020, the export of Turkish cars to Azerbaijan increased by 66.5 percent compared to November 2019 and surpassed $16.7 million.
In the past 11 months of 2020, exports of Turkish cars to international markets dropped by 18.9 percent compared to the same period of last year, totaling $22.7 billion.
At the same time, Turkey’s exports of cars accounted for 15 percent of the country's total exports.
In November 2020, Turkey delivered $2.69 billion worth of cars to the foreign markets, which is 0.3 percent more than in the same month of 2019. In this month, Turkey’s car exports made up 16.8 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (from November 2019 through November 2020), Turkey exported cars worth over $25.2 billion to global markets.
