Turkey continues construction of oil pipeline in southern Adana, Hatay provinces

Turkey’s Botas national pipeline company is building an oil pipeline in the provinces of Adana and Hatay, the country’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources told Trend.

According to the ministry, the total length of the pipeline is 36 kilometers.

"The construction of the pipeline began in 2019 and will be completed by the end of this year," the ministry said.

Last year, 35 million Turkish liras ($4.04 million) were directed for its construction, and from the beginning of this year - 55 million Turkish liras ($6.3 million).

Till late 2021, Botas intends to implement 15 energy projects. Some 6.1 billion Turkish liras ($699.1 million) will be allocated for their implementation.

Some 2.2 billion Turkish liras ($252.1 million) out of 6.1 billion Turkish liras ($699.1 million) allocated in Turkey for the implementation of energy projects this year, will account for foreign loans.

Botas allocated 14.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion) for the implementation of energy projects in 2020, of which almost 9.6 billion Turkish liras ($1.1 billion) accounted for foreign loans.

Turkey's expenditures on the implementation of energy projects as of 2021 will amount to 16.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion), while last year this figure was 44.5 billion Turkish liras ($5.1 billion).

Some 125 energy projects will be implemented in Turkey by the end of this year. The foreign loans in the amount of 3.1 billion Turkish liras ($358.9 million) will be issued for the implementation of energy projects.

Some 16.6 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion) out of 44.5 billion Turkish liras ($5.1 billion) allocated in Turkey for the implementation of energy projects in 2020 accounted for the foreign loans.
