Turkish Ministry reveals volume of goods transshipment from Germany by local ports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Ports of Turkey handled 667,933 tons of cargo from Germany from January through April 2022, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 14,581 tons of cargo from Germany to local ports, and ships flying the flags of other countries - 647,527 tons.

Ships flying the German flag delivered 5,825 tons of cargo to Turkish ports during this period.

Turkish ports handled 61,772 tons of transit cargo from Germany from January through April 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 32.06 million tons of cargo in April 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.09 million tons during the specified period. Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 29.9 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 7.1 million tons of transit cargo in April 2022.

Turkish ports handled a total of 130.8 million tons of cargo from January through April 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 6.05 million tons during this period. Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 121.8 million tons. Turkish ports handled 27.7 million tons of transit cargo from January through April 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 29.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 356.3 million tons in 2021.

Turkish ports handled 78 million tons of transit cargo last year.
