BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. Turkish port of Aliaga received 2,508 ships from January through May 2022, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkiye told Trend.
According to the ministry, 691 of the total number of ships accepted by the port were under the flag of Turkiye, 1,817 - under the flags of other countries.
Turkish ports received 5,093 ships in May 2022.
Some 1,750 of the total number of ships accepted by ports were under the Turkish flag, and 3,343 were under the flags of other countries.
Turkish ports received 21,515 ships from January through May 2022.
Number of 6,642 of the total sum of ships accepted by Turkish ports, were under the flag of Turkiye during this period, 14,873 were under the flags of other countries.
The ports of Turkiye received 51,199 vessels in 2021, including 15,120 under the Turkish flag.
The remaining 36,079 ships received by Turkish ports were under the flags of other countries.
