Some $339,100 were spent in the first quarter of 2016 for social responsibility projects conducted as part of the projects that are operated in Azerbaijan by the British company BP, versus $1.37 million for the same period of 2015, the company's report said.
The British company's report covered its work in Azerbaijan in January-March 2016.
The costs within the development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of Azerbaijani offshore fields in the first quarter of 2016 totaled $51,300, the gas and condensate field Shah Deniz in the same period stood at $7,900, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines - at $104,800.
BP, which participates in all these energy projects, spent some $175,000 within its own social responsibility projects.
In 2015, some $4.5 million was spent on social responsibility projects, operated by British BP in Azerbaijan, compared to $5.78 million in 2014.
