Number of international observers at elections reached 1060 people

The number of recorded international observers at the 6 November parliamentary elections reached 1060, the Central Election Committee (CEC) told Trend. The number of local observers is 11616 people. 133 observers have a special permission to watch the sittings of the electoral committees.

204 journalists from 52 foreign media have been registered for observing the elections. 65 journalists from 14 local media have been registered.

Among the candidates running up for the parliamentary elections the number of those who recalled their candidacies and those whose candidacy has been cancelled reached 455.
