American aircraft manufacturing company Boeing, has said that its deals with Iran depends on the US government approval, after Washington announced it is reviewing licenses for aircraft manufacturers to do business with the Islamic Republic.

“Boeing continues to follow the lead of the US government with regards to working with Iran’s airlines, and any and all contracts with Iran’s airlines are contingent upon US government approval,” Kate Bernard, a spokeswoman for the Chicago-based manufacturer, told Trend.

Earlier, the US Treasury Head Steven Mnuchin said that his department is reviewing licenses for Boeing Co and Airbus to sell aircraft to Iran.

Airbus was not available for comment and did not immediately respond to an email from Trend.

The Islamic Republic’s flag carrier Iran Air has already reached agreements with the European and American aircraft companies to purchase about 200 passenger aircraft.

The agreements with the aircraft manufacturers came following Iran’s nuclear deal with the world powers in 2015.
