A Turkmen delegation headed by the Parliamentary Speaker Akja Nurberdiyeva will visit Belarus April 26-27 to develop inter-parliamentary relations.
The visit will be held under the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The Turkmen parliament passes laws, makes changes and additions to the Constitution, examines the state budget, decides on issues of national referendums, and fixes elections.
Parliament also considers appointments and dismissals from the Supreme Court, the Prosecutor General's Office and the interior and justice ministries.
The term of service in parliament lasts five years.
