Azerbaijan, Baku, June 2 /Trend, K.Zarbaliyeva/
The access to pornographic sites, sites containing incitement to violence and terror in Azerbaijan may be limited.
"These sites have chat rooms and dating forum. From this point of view, it is necessary to include this issue on the agenda in Azerbaijan," the chairperson of the Republican Children's Organization, MP Guler Ahmedova told Trend.
She said as such sites are mostly used by teenagers, this issue must be approached with the utmost seriousness.
According to Ahmadova, the Russian experience confirms that such sites may be one of the places where facts of moral violence against children are potentially possible.
Ahmadova said Azerbaijan is on the threshold of accession to the conventions on cybercrime and combat violence against children, and has already approved relevant protocols.
Ahmedova considers it necessary to deny access to such sites in Azerbaijan, who will join these conventions.
The Government of Turkey on May 31 made a decision to restrict access to sites with pornography, incitement to violence and terror.
According to the decision, the Turkish Internet service providers have been instructed to block access to sites with pornography, incitement to violence and terror from August 1.
