Number of infected computers increased in Azerbaijan

The number of infected computers in Azerbaijan increased by 0.96 percent last month (from December 14, 2011 to January 11, 2012), the survey of Kaspersky Lab virus activity indicates on Saturday.

Some 34.1 percent of users faced the risk of computer infecting during this period.

Azerbaijan is ranked sixth among the ten countries that faced the greatest risk of infection through the Internet.

Russia, South Korea, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan and Sudan are included in the top 10 countries with a score of 46.3 - 31.1 percent.

The company has calculated the number of Web-security use per country within the month to assess the risk of infection through the Internet in different countries worldwide.

Kaspersky Lab registered 17 312 network attacks on the computers of Azerbaijani users within the month.

Trojan.Script.Generic, Trojan.Script.Iframer and Trojan.JS.Redirecrot.Np are three viruses which were revealed in AzNET.
