Some 33.145 million tons of cargo was transported in Azerbaijan in January-July 2012, or 5.75 percent less than the same figure of 2011, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC) said on Saturday.
Exports of goods during this period amounted to 17.636 million tons, imports - 5.296 million tons.
Some 175,970 tons of cargo were exported by sea, 1.66 million tons were exported by rail, 339,520 tons - by road, 108,970 tons - air, 15.349 million - stationary, 1,860 tons - self-propelled vehicles.
Some 799,200 tons of cargo were imported by sea, 3.27 million tons by rail, 1.158 tons by road, 13,930 tons of cargo by air.
Some 10.212 million tons of cargo was transported by transit through the territory of Azerbaijan in January-July 2012, or 11 percent more compared to January-July 2011.
