Production of Iran's Abadan Oil Refining Company increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. Iran's Abadan Oil Company's gasoline output until the end of last year (March 19, 2024) climbed by 87.5 percent compared to when the present government came into office (Iran's current government has been in power since August 2021), a member of the Iranian parliament, Alireza Varnasseri said, Trend reports.

According to him, during the aforementioned period, Iran's Abadan Oil Refining Company increased gasoline production from 8 million liters to 15 million liters per day.

The company's diesel production also rose by 27 percent, Varnasseri said. So, diesel fuel output rose from 15 million to 19 million liters daily.

The Iranian MP stated that construction work is currently underway at the company's third plant. The company expects to put this plant into operation soon.

“The revenue of Iran's Abadan Oil Company amounted to about 120 trillion rials (about $2.86 billion) in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024). Meanwhile, it increased from 21 to 34 in terms of the types of products produced by the company,” he said.

Iran's Abadan Oil Refining Company processes 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily. This enterprise produces liquefied gas, gasoline, fuel oil, diesel, fuel oil, bitumen, solvents, sulfur, naphtha, and other products.
