Financial accounting system in Azerbaijani budgetary organizations to be used by mid-2013

It is planned to implement a project of introducing the reporting and financial accounting system in budget organizations (FARABI) in Azerbaijan by mid-2013, Sinam company told Trend on Monday.

Azerbaijani company Sinam has been chosen as the organization acting as system integrator and entrusted with the work on the technical construction of the system in the ministry.

FARABI system will be installed in DATA-center of the Finance Ministry. The system is based on Web-technologies and consists of the Enterprise Resource Planning System (SERP) components (for financial and accounting reporting management (including the following modules: Accounting, General Ledger, Personnel, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Financial reports).
The purpose of the project is to assist in strengthening and upgrading the potential of state policy and analyzing the tools by implementing the financial and accounting systems in budget organizations.

"BI-technologies of Oracle are used for analytical reporting in the system," the company said. It is planned to introduce Clicks Learning Management system of German company IMC to automate the process of conducting training to work with the system. The courses will be conducted in electronic form and will be based on the server of the Ministry."

Initially, around 35 state and private higher education institutions, as well as four ministries will be connected to the system. In the future, all ministries, and other state and financial institutions submitting financial reports to the Finance Ministry are planned to be connected to FARABI.
