As of 2013, around 94,578 mobile phones and other devices that use wireless networks (tablet computers, cordless phones, etc.), totaling $4,192,900 were imported to Azerbaijan, the State Statistics Committee told Trend on Feb.14.
The number of mobile phones imported to Azerbaijan decreased by 48.16 percent compared to 2012 (the country imported some 182,422 units in the same period of 2012), according to the committee. This figure decreased by 51.7 percent in terms of value.
On average, nearly 7,900 mobile phones were imported to the country per month, the state committee said. The monthly volume of the mobile phone market exceeds some $349,000 in terms of value.
