Revision of tax benefits in Azerbaijan won't affect the small and medium entrepreneurs, said Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov Oct. 7.
He made the remarks during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2016 and the next three years at a joint session of parliamentary committees on science and education, legal policy and state structure, regional issues, culture, human rights, international affairs and interparliamentary relations.
The minister said the tax benefits can be reviewed only within major projects.
Meanwhile he said there are a number of initiatives to be implemented to develop entrepreneurship.
"The government plans to simplify taxation in construction, public catering, and trade, what will give an additional momentum to the entrepreneurship's development and eventually lead to increase in the state budget revenues," he said.
Earlier, Sharifov said it is planned to review and limit, and in some cases cancel the tax and customs privileges in a number of areas the next year, and in the years 2017-2019.
