BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. In the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), exports of non-oil products through the Julfa customs post of East Azerbaijan Province, located in northwestern Iran, increased by 24 percent in value and 42 percent in weight compared to the year-on-year figures, director general of Iran's customs administration in Jolfa Mohammad Khalili said, Trend reports.
According to him, 189,000 tons of non-oil products worth $324 million were exported through the Julfa customs post last year.
Khalili noted that cookies, dried fruits, petroleum products, paints, and various other goods were predominantly exported via the Julfa customs post last year. He emphasized that these products were mainly sent to Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
According to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion last year. Iran's exports of non-oil products decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms compared to the previous year and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
