The snipers may be withdrawn from the contact line only after the Azerbaijani occupied territories are liberated, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroglu said on Friday.
On Friday, a delegation consisting of Azerbaijani MPs and intellectuals, visited military units in Beylagan and Fuzuli regions on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.
The delegation includes MPs Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, Sahib Gafarov, Nizami Jafarov, Ilham Mammadov, spokesman for the Defense Ministry, Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu, members of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences Vagif Abbasov, Rafiq Gasimov, national poet Sohrab Tahir, president of the National Forum of NGOs Rauf Zeyni etc.
At first, the delegation visited the military units in Fizuli region, got acquainted with the living conditions of the servicemen, and then went to the front line and watched the enemy positions.
While answering the journalists' questions, Eldar Sabiroglu said that the recent information related to the deaths of soldiers, has been exaggerated by some opposition forces.
Eldar Sabiroglu also expressed his attitude to the withdrawal of snipers from the front lines.
"The snipers may be withdrawn only after the Azerbaijani occupied territories are liberated," Sabiroglu said.
