Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend E.Huseynli / Ali Ahmadov, the Executive Secretary and also deputy chairman of the ruling New Azerbaijani Party (NAP), stated on 19th of July that no country or international recognizes the results of the so-called 'presidential' elections held in Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan by the separatist Armenian regime.

Many international organizations consider these elections as illegal. "As the so-called Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is an illegal body, elections held here are illegal. The so-called presidential elections in Nagorno-Karabakh are unworthy of special attention. The non-recognition of elections in the self-proclaimed 'republic' is a victory of Azerbaijan," Ahmadov stated.

The New Azerbaijan Party was founded by Heydar Aliyev, the former President of Azerbaijan, in 1992. Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, is the chairman of New Azerbaijan Party.
