A bus lost control and drove into the glass enclosure of Shafa stadium, located on Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Baku on Saturday.

Police department of Nizami district confirmed the information, reporting that there are injured as a result of an accident.

According to preliminary information, the high speed caused the accident. The bus N11 crashed into a traffic light, and then drove into the glass enclosure of Shafa stadium, striking a parked Toyota Prado car, witnesses said.

Six people were injured as a result of the accident, Baku emergency station told Trend.

One of the victims is the driver of Toyota Prado, Trend correspondent reported from the scene of accident. All the victims were taken to hospitals.

According to the preliminary version, a passenger bus lost control hit the "Gazelle", then traffic lights and Toyota Prado and drove into the glass enclosure of Shafa Stadium, a traffic police inspector Mushtaba Hamidov told Trend on the scene of accident.

According to updated reports 8 people were injured as a result of the accident, Baku ambulance station told Trend. All the victims were taken to Sabunchu hospital N3. and were released after they were provided with medical assistance.

According to Sabunchu Hospital N3, the 5 injured were taken to the hospital: 36 year old Azer Gahramanov, 28 year old Orkhan Ustevari, 32 year old Nazila Mustafayeva, 38 year old Tapdig Odzhagverdiev and 32 year old Hijran Odzhagverdieva.

Investigation on the accident is conducted by Nizami District Police Department.
