An inspection of a Howo truck, operated by Iranian citizen Soleymariabdar Mohammadrezani, was conducted at the Gosha Tepe customs post of the Bilasuvar customs administration. The Iranian citizen was transporting bitumen from Iran to Azerbaijan.

Some 10 ml of methadone in a plastic container were found during the inspection in the car's cab, the State Customs Committee's official website said on Nov. 26.

Methadone solution is included into the second list of "narcotic substances the turnover of which in the territory of Azerbaijan is limited". The total dry methadone matter in 10 ml of solution was 0.01 grams.

Another similar incident was registered at the Gosha Tepe customs post of the Bilasuvar customs administration. During the inspection of a Howo truck, operated by the Iranian citizen Farid Jafarnezhad Alirezani, some 85 ml of methadone was found in a plastic container in the car's cab. The Iranian citizen was also transporting bitumen from Iran to Azerbaijan. The total volume of dry methadone matter in 85 ml of solution was 0.085 grams.
