On October 19, the fire at Azerneftyag Production Unit located in the Khatai District of Baku City covered approximately 700 sq.m. Trend reports with reference to the same Unit.
The fire began at 06:30 a.m. Windy weather conditions caused the fire to spread. The Fire Brigade of the Unit and employees of the Fire Service of the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry both worked to keep the fire under control.
According to preliminary forecasts, the fire occurred as a result of an ignited dustbin located in the yard of the Production Unit. A special commission has been called upon to determine the cause of the fire.
