On 25 September the US House of Representatives backed the inclusion of this country into a list of international terror forces through 397 for and 16 against.
Sepah is accused in organizing terror attacks on Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries. The Iranian officials have numerously refuted the accusations and stated that they try to ensure security in these countries.
Sepah participates in oil projects and is involved in the nuclear sector, Zeydabadi said in a telephone talk from Tehran.
"The implementation of this decision will damage the security, authority and activities of Sepah. The banking accounts of the organization abroad will be closed, and its economic contracts will become insignificant," the political expert stressed.
Zeydabadi said that the United States so expanded the list of international terrorists that a plan on struggling against them seems to be unreal.this decision should also be confirmed by the Senate and the President, which will take time. It will be difficult to implement it. "At any case, Iran's image and Sepah's activities will also be damaged seriously. Two variants are proposed. Firstly, if the number of terror attacks on Iraq reduces, perhaps the project will pass on. Secondly, this list might include not only Sepah, but its military network Yerusalem, which is also accused of committing terror attacks on Iraq.
Sepah was established in 1980 at the initiative of the religious leader of Iran Imam Khomeyni with respect to protect the state border. The organization which unites 150,000 members, has become a huge network. Besides, the political and economic spheres, they are also involved in the military sector. Part of Sepah's military network is called Jerusalem.
