Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Agayeva / The Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, Khazar Ibrahim, briefed the media on 22 October that Azerbaijan supports Turkey in fighting against Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
" Azerbaijan and Turkey, two friendly countries, are strategic partners and we support each other in each action," he said.
According to Ibrahim, the decision of the Turkish Parliament to commence military actions against PKK and the decision of Turkey itself were made as a result of the events in the region. "PKK is a terrorist organization and Azerbaijan, as a country suffering from the terrorism, understands and supports the actions of Turkey," Ibrahim stated.
