Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 April /Trend corr. J. Babayeva / During the supreme assembly on 19 April, the Green party has made its decision to participate in the upcoming presidential elections with its own candidate, Tarana Mammadova, co-chairman of the party, stated to Trend .
According to Mammadova, a decision was made to nominate the candidature of Mais Gulaliyev, Chairman of Green, to the presidential post.
The Green Party was founded in Azerbaijan in 2007.
The presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan in Oct 2008.
Isa Gambar, Chairman of the Musavat party, and Sardar Jalaloglu, Chairman of Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, have already nominated their candidature for presidential post from opposition camp.
The ruling New Azerbaijan party will nominate the candidature of Ilham Aliyev.
