Tolerance Museum May be Opened in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 July / Trend corr. E.Bbayev / The Museum of Tolerance may be opened in Azerbaijan. "Tolerance is a property of the Azerbaijani nation, which saved it and to pass to the next generation. There is a need to open the Museum of Tolerance in Azerbaijan,' Rabiyyat Aslanova, Chairman of the standing Parliamentary Commission on Human rights, said in the meeting attending by Abraham Cooper, Chief of the Los Angeles based Museum of Tolerance.

Aslanova stated that there is a good attitude to different religions in Azerbaijan. "For example, the Jewish preferred Azerbaijan as their motherland 2000 years ago. The Azerbaijani Government demonstrates very well attitude towards the Jewish, as well as to other religions. There are 450 religions in Azerbaijan,' Aslanova said.

Cooper said that Azerbaijan can be a sample of tolerance for other countries.
