The functions of the operational anti-terror group were determined in Azerbaijan.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan approved the Exemplary Instruction containing the functional standards for the operational anti-terror group.
Model instruction identified the operational requirements of operational groups established by the General Staff to fight terror in the territory of Azerbaijan, told Trend on Tuesday in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Exemplary Instruction determined the operational requirements of the operational groups established by the General Staff to combat terror in the territory of Azerbaijan, the Cabinet of Ministers told Trend on May 19.
The main purpose of the operational groups are: to prevent the threat of terror against people who sustain the threat of terror, ensure the safety of the civil population, who sustain the threat of terror, to neutralize the terrorists, prevent damage and destruction as a result of terror, detect and neutralize explosive, chemical, radioactive, poisonous and other dangerous items and substances, take appropriate measures to eliminate threats to life and health of the civil population, identify the cause of terror.
The responsible person who is part of the relevant public agencies provide operational activities of the group.
If necessary, the head of the General Staff shall take measures to combat terrorism under the law and appeal to the President with a request.
Operational anti-terror groups will be created in the sphere of intelligence, control, search and rescue activities and medical assistance.
The heads of the operational groups should determine the concrete position of each group member to resolve the task, provide communications, weapons and special means.
Model Regulations adopted with the agreement of National Security, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Defense, Justice, Health, Public Service of special defense, the Border Service and the Prosecutor General's Office.
Exemplary Instruction was approved with the agreement of National Security Ministry, Interior Ministry, Defense Ministry, Justice Ministry, Health Ministry, Special State Defense Service, Border Service and Prosecutor General's Office.
