The European Union (EU) urges the conflicting political forces in Georgian to dialogue, EU Special Envoy on South Caucasus Peter Semneby said after meeting with three radical opposition leaders on June 4.

Semneby's meeting with leaders of the Alliance for Georgia Party Irakly Alasaniya, Party of Way of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili and Republican Party David Usupashvili lasted an hour at the Tbilisi Marriott hotel.

"We worry about the conflict currently existing in Georgia. We urge the sides to dialogue, as they must undertake responsibility for the current developments in the country," Semneby said. He stressed there are not alternatives to dialogue.

Semneby emphasized that the parties must ensure the country's peace development and not to favor growth of tensions.

"We have discussed Georgia's future, its relations with the European Union and all the issues on this direction," he said.
