Iran's President offered to hold the celebrations in connection with the Novruz holiday each year in one country with the participation of officials from other countries.
"Novruz calls all who love this holiday to refrain from evil and hostility, as well as to the purity and sincerity, friendship and kindness," said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, making a speech at a ceremony in connection with Novruz holiday, Iranian news channel İRİNN reported.
Novruz inspires the faith of people in the future and encourages all to feel the renewal of nature. "Nowruz holiday is full of moral understandings," said Ahmadinejad.
Addressing the meeting, Tajik President Imomali Rahmon supported the Iranian president's proposal.
The U.N. has given an international holiday status to the Novruz holiday. In connection with that the state officials of the Novruz holiday celebrating countries have been invited to the event. The event, which will begin March 27 in Tehran, will continue in Shiraz next day.
