The EU may still close the position of EU representative to the South Caucasus. Discussions are underway, EU Special Representative to the South Caucasus Peter Semneby told journalists in Sukhumi today.
"This is linked with the beginning of a new EU diplomatic service. In any case, I promise that the EU will not leave the South Caucasus without attention," Semneby said.
European Commissioner for Foreign Relations Catherine Ashton announced about the possibility of abolishing the post several weeks ago.
