Georgian parliamentary speaker to visit U.S. this autumn

Speaker of the Georgian parliament David Bakradze will pay a business visit to the United States this autumn. The attitude of the U.S. Congress to the occupation of Georgia will be the main topic for discussions, chairman of the legislative body said.
He said that political processes which take place in Georgia were discussed at the meeting.
"The conversation touched undertaken and planned reforms, especially in electoral, constitutional and economic spheres. But special attention was paid to the role of Congress in connection with its activity to fix the position in relation to the occupation of Georgia. Supposedly, I will visit the United States this autumn. The position of Congress on this issue will be one of the main themes. The Congress's attitude will be important not only for Georgia but for the further development of the process as a whole", Bakradze said.
