A visit to Iran this fall by members of the European Parliament remains under question, European Parliament Secretariat Coordinator Timothy Boden has said.
On Monday, Iranian news agency İLNA quoted a member of the commission for national security and foreign policy of the Iranian parliament as saying that a delegation of European parliamentarians would visit Iran in the fall. The commission member, Kazim Jalali, said the exact date of the visit was under discussion.
Earlier visits to Iran by European MPs have been repeatedly postponed. For example, a group of parliamentarians were scheduled to visit Iran on Jan. 7 this year, but this trip was also postponed.
