In return of the restoration of the Georgian historical monuments located in Turkey, perhaps, the Georgian side will restore Turkish historical monuments present in the Georgian territory, the Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said in the traditional press briefing on Monday, adding that the commissions created on this matter have already prepared a protocol, which includes several agreements.
"Our interests include restoration of the Georgian monuments located in Turkey with the participation of the Georgian historians and technical groups. In return, the Turkish monuments, which are located in Georgia, will be restored. The working process is already underway and only after its completion it will turn out which Turkish monuments they are," Kalandadze said and added that at this stage it is impossible to say the exact date of completion of the working process.
This protocol has already been sent for signing to the Turkish side and only after their response, it will be clear which Turkish monuments Ankara requires to restore.
