An atmosphere of cooperation and peace in the North Caucasus is of great importance for Georgia, the country's national security concept reads.
The country recognizes the importance of deepening and developing ties and relations with the brotherly peoples of the North Caucasus, which will promote the North Caucasus peoples' awareness of the country's objectives and political course.
The draft also reads that the language, culture and heritage of the North Caucasus are part of a commons, and Georgia values their preservation and development.
The Georgian government added that nature and environmental safety should be guaranteed via the joint efforts of the peoples of Georgia and the North Caucasus.
"The Caucasus is the common house of people living here. Georgia supports the peaceful settlement of existing conflicts in the Caucasus on the basis of principles of international law," the draft concept states.
