Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 22 / Trend K. Zarbaliyeva /
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denies the information of the Armenian side about injuring of six soldiers during the domestic incident in a military unit of the Azerbaijani Army.
"The information of the Armenian side that besides seven dead soldiers, six more people were injured as a the result of the incident in a military unit of Azerbaijani Armed Forces, is wrong," spokesman for the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroglu told media.
He said that Armenia is trying to use the tragedy in the Azerbaijani military unit in its own interests. "As a result of the two-day-continuous violating of the ceasefire regime by the Armenian air forces, an Azerbaijani soldier died, another wounded. The enemy is trying to put the responsibility for the tense situation in the frontal zone for Azerbaijan. Moreover, the Armenian side is trying to present the loss of our soldiers, which is very hard for us, in an exaggerated form. They say that besides seven dead soldiers, there are six more seriously wounded. It is a lie, " Sabiroglu said.
He said that the reliable information on the tragedy was presented in a joint statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense and the Military Prosecutor Office.
Seven soldiers of the Azerbaijani army died as a result of the incident in a military unit in Murovdag on Feb. 20.
