If the parliamentary elections in Georgia are violated or interfered and this prevents the holding of the elections in an open and competitive sphere, the U.S will react harshly to this. This statement was made by U.S. Ambassador John Bass in Kakheti on Wednesday.

He stressed that the population must have confidence in the elections and electoral administration.

"Special attention must be paid to the voter lists," he said. "The procedures must be observed during the election period and election day."
