The European Union applies double standards against Turkey, Anadolu agency quotes Turkish Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bagis as saying on Wednesday.
According to Bagis, the fact that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not pay special attention to relations with the EU in his speech at the fourth congress of the ruling Justice and Development Party was associated namely with it.
On Sunday, Sept.30, the fourth congress of the Justice and Development Party was held, during which Erdogan was elected as the party leader for the third term. Some 1,421 delegates of the congress voted for him.
