Inclusion of Belarus into European formats is important not only for Belarus, but also for Europe, the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili said at a meeting with participants of the Eastern Partnership informal summit.
According to him, mentioning of Belarus was due to it being a classic example of Georgia, non-member of the CIS, maintaining active political, trade, economic, social and cultural ties with its member countries.
"We are grateful for the fact that Belarus demonstrated respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia in the most difficult time. We believe that the inclusion of Belarus into European formats is important not only for Belarus, but also for Europe", Saakashvili said.
