The Information Center of the CEC received 4,053 appeals on issues surrounding voter lists in connection with presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Director of the CEC's Information Centre Rufat Gulmammadov said on Friday during a visit to the Center for technical control of CEC webcams.

According to him, some 355 of the total number of appeals are anonymous, therefore, they will not be viewed.

Monitoring systems of the webcams installed in polling stations are based on modern technology and are in a state of readiness, the polling stations are fully equipped with communication, he said.

"One of the provisions of President Ilham Aliyev's decree to declare 2013 the Year of ICT is related to the increasing use of information and communication technologies in the electoral field. State Automated Information System "Elections" was re-established on the basis of modern technology," Gulmammadov stressed.

According to him, in order to get an operative and qualitative data transmission, a large screen was set up in the Information Centre where you can see several information messages of different content.

Presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on October 9.

The previous presidential elections were held on October 15, 2008. The presidential elections in Azerbaijan are held every five years.
