Members of Turkey's oppositional Republican People's Party are gathering on the Taksim Square in Istanbul city, to hold the May Day marches, the country's Milliyet newspaper reported.
After failing to convince the marchers to disperse, the Istanbul police blocked all the approaches to the Taksim Square.
